As Founder and CEO,  of Beyond the Sky, he strives for excellence as a dynamic speaker and mentor whose life story fuels his relentless mission.

From facing homelessness, instability, and the challenges of growing up with a parent battling addiction,despite these obstacles, he chose a different path—pursuing growth, purpose, and leadership.

The journey from hardship to impact is what allows him to connect deeply with today’s youth. "I don't just speak to students—I understands them."

He is committed to helping young people see beyond their current circumstances and step into the life they were created for.

Tiwanna, is Derric's life partner of over 20 years and President of Beyond the Sky. 

She is a dedicated real estate professional known for her energy, integrity, and commitment to helping families find the perfect place to call home. Beyond real estate, she’s a proud mom of three girls, a Girl Scouts leader, and an active supporter of youth athletics, serving as a booster leader for basketball and girls flag football. Tiwanna brings the same passion she has for her community into every client relationship—leading with heart in everything she does.

As Director of Operations, for Beyond the Sky, Amber brings her unwavering commitment to improve childhood literacy and belief that our youth is the cornerstone of a thriving society. She is dedicated to transforming the mindset of the next generation, recognizing that shaping the youth is essential to building a lasting and positively impactful legacy for generations to come. Her personal mission is to foster a culture of growth, resilience, and purpose. Aiming to go beyond traditional mentorship to create spaces where young minds can reimagine their potential and their role in the world. 

Her philosophy is simple, "by bridging the gap between aspiration and action, we can transform youth from dreamers into leaders. I seek not to just prepare the next generation for the future but to provide them the tools to create it. My vision is to help build a stronger community, one empowered young person at a time."

Trina serves as Program Director and has spent more than 25 years leading teams and helping people grow in the financial industry. She’s known for turning complicated processes into simple systems and for helping people discover strengths they didn’t know they had.

After mentoring professionals throughout her career, Trina is now passionate about helping teens build confidence, leadership skills, and a strong professional mindset early in life. She believes that success isn’t just about talent it’s about habits, discipline, communication, and believing in your ability to grow.

Trina’s goal as a mentor is to help young people see their potential, set meaningful goals, and develop the mindset needed to thrive in school, work, and life.

Lexy, Social Media and Content Director is a dedicated student leader and community advocate with a strong focus on mental health awareness and youth engagement. She has been an active member of the Arizona Students for Mental Health nonprofit for four years, contributing to initiatives that help reduce the negative stigma around mental health and increase support for students across the state.

At her high school, Lexy has served in student government for two years, helping organize events, represent her peers, and strengthen school spirit. She also runs the social media accounts for various sports, where she manages athletic content, promotes school teams, and enhances community engagement through digital platforms.

Lexy is passionate about leadership, communication, and making a positive impact both in her school and the broader community.

The Walker Girls serve as Ambassadors ensuring the organization remains abreast on the complexities and challenges of being a teenager. Offering guidance on mainstream trends and pitfalls that plague students balancing active schedules. 

Amiah (16) is a three sport athlete excelling at Flag Football, Basketball and Track & Field. 

Kaylee (13) is a dancer with an emphasis on ballet and hip hop.

Meghan (12) after spending several years in gymnastics she has embraced the Flag football bug and competes with her competitive team across the Valley.

In addition to focusing on school and extra curricular activities all are active members of Encounter Student Ministries where they focus on discovering their purpose and gifts to serve the world.
